Rehab Level 2 Program

STOTT PILATES Peripheral Joint Rehabilitation, Matwork and Rehab Reformer (RMR2)

This NEW course builds on the biomechanical and stabilization principles learned in RMR1, keeping the emphasis on core stability while mobilizing the peripheral joints. These exercises are designed to prevent and rehabilitate common injuries by balancing and strengthening muscles around the joints in order to restore and maintain healthy movement patterns.

This course also covers:
• Progression from RMR I (Lumbar and Shoulder Girdle Stabilization, Matwork and Rehab Reformer)
• Theory and exercises that address biomechanics and rehabilitation of upper and lower extremities’ joints
• A review of some of the exercises in RMRI with a focus on clinical reasoning and modifications for peripheral joint rehabilitation
• More than 45 new Essential and Intermediate Level mat and reformer exercises and modifications
• Practice time, supervised practice teaching, case studies and clinical reasoning challenges for peripheral joint issues

Prerequisites:
RMR1

NOTE: Only licensed physical, occupational therapists, physical therapy assistants,chiropractors, sports medicine doctors and/or medical professionals may attend these courses. See the Rehab Course Application for specifics.

Duration:
24 hours of instruction and supervised teaching conducted over four days

Tuition Cost:
$850.00 (off-site courses may be priced at a higher tuition rate)

STOTT PILATES Peripheral Joint Rehabilitation, Cadillac, Chair and Barrels (RCCB2)

This NEW course instructs medical professionals in how to use a varied series of weight-bearing and non-weight-bearing exercises to assist rehabilitation. This course targets the upper and lower extremities and enables isolation of the joints while helping patients and clients maintain core stability and improve functional alignment. As the final course in the series, RCCB II also focuses on mastering and integrating all concepts taught in previous Rehab courses.

This course also covers:
• More then 50 new exercises and modifications on the Cadillac, Chair and Barrels for peripheral joint rehabilitation
• The introduction of many Intermediate Level exercises
• Sport-specific progressions and programming
• A higher level of coordination and movement challenges
• The on integration of all STOTT PILATES equipment into client rehabilitation programs
• More advanced clinical reasoning skills
• Practice time, supervised practice teaching, case studies and clinical reasoning challenges for spinal, pelvic and scapular issues

Prerequisites:
RMR1, RMR2 and RCCB1

Duration:
18 hours of instruction and supervised teaching conducted over three days
