Rehab Level 1 Program
Lumbar and Shoulder Girdle Stabilization, Matwork and Rehab Reformer (RMR1)
This NEW course introduces the biomechanical principles of STOTT PILATES and their application to modified matwork, small equipment and Rehab Reformer exercises. Emphasis is on lumbo-pelvic and shoulder girdle stabilization and the role they play in rehabilitation and injury prevention.
This course also covers:
• Over 40 mat exercises and 50 reformer exercises with multiple modifications for each exercise
• Choreography of exercises, modifications, correction of common mistakes, progressions of exercises, and programming
• Specific discussions about indications and contraindications for each exercise
• Supervised practice teaching, case studies and clinical reasoning
• How to immediately apply the principals to clinical practice
• Discussions on how to develop a home program for each exercisePrerequisites:
No previous STOTT PILATES courses are required.Note: This course is a prerequisite for all other rehabilitation courses.
NOTE: Only licensed physical, occupational therapists, physical therapy assistants,chiropractors, sports medicine doctors and/or medical professionals may attend these courses. See the Rehab Course Application for specifics.

Lumbar & Shoulder Girdle Stabilization; Cadillac, Chair & Barrels (RCCB1)
This NEW course will teach medical professionals how to incorporate the different levels of resistance and support provided by the Cadillac Trapeze Table, Stability Chair and Barrels to improve mobilization and stabilization of the lumbo-pelvic region and shoulder girdle. Emphasis here is on how these play a part in injury prevention and rehabilitation.
This course also covers:
• Review of STOTT PILATES biomechanical principles
• How to identify proper execution and movement patterns
• Effective verbal cueing and imagery
• Over 70 new exercises, each with modifications
• Equipment options to support or challenge clients in new ways (more standing, sitting, and kneeling exercises)
• How clinicians can use various equipment to isolate specific joint movements and integrate multi-joint and multi-planar movements
• Exercises with a higher degree of difficulty and coordination
• Practice time, supervised practice teaching, case studies and clinical reasoning challenges for spinal, pelvic and scapular issues
• Exercises that can be adapted for home usePrerequisites:
