This four course series is designed to help medical professionals integrate STOTT PILATES exercises into their practices and expand their repertoire of effective options for injury prevention, rehabilitation and therapeutic conditioning. The four courses in this series are:
- RMRI- Rehabilitation on Mat and Reformer for Spinal, Pelvic and Scapular Issues
- RMRII – Rehabilitation on Mat and Reformer for Peripheral Joint Issues
- RCCBI – Rehabilitation on Cadillac, Chair and Barrels for Spinal, Pelvic and Scapular Issues
- RCCBII – Rehabilitation on Cadillac, Chair and Barrels for Peripheral Joint Issues
Melanie Byford-Young, STOTT PILATES® Rehab Master Instructor Trainer and co-owner of Pacific NW Pilates, teaches all of the rehabilitation courses at Pacific NW Pilates. Melanie began her career as a licensed physical therapist in 1991 and has been pioneering the use of STOTT PILATES to assist with physical rehabilitation and therapeutic conditioning since 2000. In 2007, she collaborated with the STOTT PILATES team to revise the rehabilitation training program for STOTT PILATES, including the development of a new instructor curriculum, training materials and DVDs in which she is featured.
All Students must begin with RMRI. From there, students may progress to RMRII OR RCCBI. To be eligible for RCCBII, students must have taken all of the other courses. Students must take a practical exam to become certified.
