Erica Loder Joins Melanie in Therapeutic Pilates

by Leslie Braverman on February 4, 2015

I am thrilled to introduce Erica Loder, the newest member of our Pacific NW Pilates (PNWP) Instructor Trainer team. Erica, who has been an instructor with a private clientele at PNWP since late last year, will debut as an Instructor Trainer and co-teach STOTT PILATES Rehabilitation Courses (February) with me.

Erica previously assisted me with PNWP rehabilitation-based workshops. This fall, she will have completed all accreditation requirements and will be leading her own PNWP courses and workshops.

Who is Erica? Erica Loder is an exceptional physical therapist with years of in-clinic experience with athletes, and incorporating Pilates therapeutic exercise. She is also a Certified Athletic Trainer, Certified Strength and Conditioning Coach—and mother to a beautiful boy we’re all mad about.

Erica has keen insight into the competitive spirit and athlete performance. She’s competed in golf and cycling, and completed an Iron Man triathlon. A spinal injury brought Erica to PNWP to help with her rehabilitation. Her personal results led to her to pursue professional Pilates certification and to incorporate the therapeutic aspects of Pilates in her career.

I met Erica when she took her first STOTT PILATES Rehabilitation course at PNWP. I spotted her passion and curiosity immediately. We began collaborating with clients, working side by side. We both thrive on problem solving, unraveling difficult problems, and the satisfaction that comes with helping people get out of pain and back to life. I feel like we’re the “Dynamic Duo” of PNWP Therapeutic Pilates!

“A good teacher brings excitement to the classroom, provides context for the information, and inspires their students to do better. These are the core values of PNWP. Our entire education team strives to illustrate how excellent Pilates can transform clients’ bodies and lives.”

Please say hello to Erica in the studio. Take advantage of her training and insights at our upcoming tandem-taught workshops. She’s going to be an increasingly visible and valuable member of the PNWP team.
