Patricia Broome
STOTT PILATES® Instructor

Pilates is a voyage of discovery. Marcel Proust believed, “The real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new landscapes but in having new eyes.” Patricia helps her clients discover how to look at themselves in a different and insightful way. She began teaching and studying STOTT PILATES in the year 2000 and has been with Pacific NW Pilates since its inception.

She continues to study STOTT PILATES and has taken the full STOTT PILATES Rehab Series taught by Pacific NW Pilates’ Melanie Byford-Young and has completed all course work including STOTT PILATES’ Injuries and Special Populations. Patricia also studies Ron Fletcher Pilates for its creativity, precision, breathing technique, and flow of movement.

In addition, Patricia studies Living in a Body concepts (Alexander technique combined with Body Mapping) by Robyn Avalon. The body is designed for dynamic movement and this technique helps to discover how you are intended to function in a holistic manner. Patricia incorporates this into her Pilates instruction to help her clients become comfortable with their own body alignment and movement.

Patricia believes Pilates gives individuals insight into themselves and enables them to change both themselves and their associations with other people in their lives. Mahatma Gandhi stated, “You must be the change you wish to see in the world.” Patricia’s work with clients is rooted in this premise.
